What PayrollKit supports
PayrollKit is being designed for weekly and monthly UK payroll for employers with one PAYE scheme. This page describes the intended initial scope and later additions. The payroll service has not been implemented yet.
Intended initial scope
Employer and payroll setup
- One PAYE scheme for each employer.
- Weekly or monthly pay schedules.
- Mid-year moves with complete, checked year-to-date values.
Pay and deductions
- Salaries, ordinary hours, overtime, cash bonuses, and shift premiums.
- PAYE and National Insurance, including supported director cases.
- Student loans and postgraduate loans.
- One workplace pension using qualifying earnings and relief at source.
Running payroll
- Original pay runs with employer approval.
- Full Payment Submission filing and status updates.
- Payslips with PayrollKit-managed email delivery by default.
- Pension and accounting CSV exports.
- A bank payment CSV for the employer to upload and authorise through its own bank.
